Victoria Ongansie
Pushing Culture Forward
"She reclaims identity through fashion, amplifying unheard voices with bold innovation."
Biography
Luxury streetwear designer Victoria Ongansie uses clothing as medium to reclaim identity and reshape what South African fashion looks like on global stages. Drawing from menswear silhouettes, sharp tailoring, and streetwear codes, she creates pieces that carry grounded, masculine strength while exploring tension between softness and structure. Each collection begins with story rooted in lived experience, inspired by hip hop culture and growing up Coloured in systems that tried to erase voices. Working independently and self-funded, she sketches, pattern-cuts, sources, and produces small runs, building VICTORI as both fashion label and personal archive. She drives culture forward by opening space for new voices, proving innovation comes from lived experience rather than access.
