Vuyo McGlad

Art director, cultural entrepreneur, and events producer Vuyo McGlad operates at the intersection of music, design, and community. His creative discipline is rooted in narrative thinking, shaping experiences, visuals, and conversations that feel intentional and reflective of the moment. An archivist at heart, his work focuses on creating platforms where culture can be experienced slowly and honestly. Through projects like NarowBi, Soundcheck, and Kids Love Jazz, he designs environments that foreground jazz, poetry, and alternative sounds within contemporary youth culture, reframing who jazz is for and what youth culture can look like. He drives culture forward by building platforms that value listening, care, and community, expanding what is possible by creating room for depth, experimentation, and future voices to emerge.
