Biography

Illustrator and animator Kamo Mashele creates work inspired by people seen in the street, envisioned in their head, musicians, public figures, and cartoon/anime characters. Working as lead concept artist for character design with indie mobile game studio Hyper For J Games and creating a feature film under indie animation studio Lycean Studios, they freelance across games, animation, and children's books. They drive culture forward by embracing culture as what creates authenticity, believing humans prefer traditional and human interaction over technology despite AI's current prevalence. Understanding art imitates life, they push the artform of culture forward through unique creations, proving art remains one of life's most important elements and human creativity irreplaceable.
